Infantry
Infantry has quite strong defence capabilities and a low crop consumption which makes them useful in defending your city.
However, their attack capabilities are relatively poor.
You can train infantry after the barracks has been built.

To increase the level of attack or defence of the infantry you should go to the academy and increase the level of attack and defence.
